Men's basketball will stay at home later in the week, looking to get revenge on Charlotte on Thursday night at 6 p.m. Saturday will see the return of the Lady Raiders from their two-game road trip, as they host the LA Tech Lady Techsters at 1 p.m. that afternoon. Women's Hoops earns more votes in this week's AP Poll
The Lady Raiders continued to pick national acclaim this week, jumping from 27 votes to 39 votes in the AP Poll, while staying just outside of the Top 25 with the second most votes among teams "Receiving Votes" for the second week in a row.

Alex Simon of the San Jose Mercury News gets the metaphorical Kudos Award of the Week for ranking the Lady Raider the highest of all voters at 19th in his AP Ballot this week. MTSU just missed out on appearing on half of the ballots this week, with 11 of the 28 votes choosing to #RankMTSU.
Akintola sets School Record in 60m Dash on at The Commodore Challenge
The 2023 Indoor Track Season started with a bang for the Blue Raiders, as star sprinter Alaba Akintola set a new high-water mark for the Blue Raiders in the first meet of MTSU's campaign.
The Nigerian International ran a school record 6.59s 60m dash on Saturday in the Men's 60m final, a time that ranks in the Top Five in the NCAA this season.

Ferguson named Defensive MVP of the Hula Bowl
Jordan Ferguson was getting a lot of love from NFL Draft Scouts over the weekend, as the defensive end showed out in the annual Hula Bowl in Orlando, Fla., earning Defensive MVP honors.

Groundhog Day Luncheon Back for Another Year!
Middle Tennessee baseball will celebrate 50 years of its annual Groundhog Day Luncheon Feb. 3 at 11:30 a.m. in the MTSU Student Ballroom.
Ticket prices are as follows and can be purchased by calling the Blue Raider Athletics ticket office at 615-898-5261.
- Baseball alumni: $20
- General Admission (early): $25
- General Admission (day of): $30
- Table for 10: $250
All proceeds will go to the Blue Raider baseball program.
Doors open at 11 a.m. Parking is available in the Academic Lot.

Don't Miss Women's Tennis Home Opener this week!
I had a great time over the weekend checking out the men's tennis home opener against Michigan State at the Adams Tennis Complex (check out my feature on the match day atmosphere here).
While Jimmy Borendame's program will be back in action at the ATC on Friday against Indiana, Coach Tayo Bailey-Duvall's women's tennis program will get their home schedule started on Sunday against Austin Peay.
