Notes and Storylines
» Hannah Suder and Caroline Manley have been seeking spots on all-time program career record lists in 2023, with Manley surpassing a historic milestone last match.
Manley surpassed Vanessa Mueggler on Sunday for most minutes played in Blue Raider history. Manley—a graduate student from Arlington, Tenn.—has not missed a match or start since beginning her MTSU career in 2019, which includes a run of 75 matches and starts. She has played 5,576 consecutive minutes since Oct. 11, 2019, and has 6,852 total minutes under her belt across her historic career.
Suder meanwhile currently stands in the top 10 of numerous program goalkeeping records, including being fourth in career saves (222), fourth in games started (57), third in games played (62) and fourth in minutes played (5,240:32).
» On Sept. 29, Faith Adje recorded a hat trick off the bench against Chicago State, scoring in the 35', 40' and the 53'. Adje's hat trick was the first for the Blue Raiders since Ashley Shimberg scored four goals at Marshall on April 9, 2021.
» Manon Lebargy scored twice and had an assist in MTSU's thrashing of Chicago State. It marked the Lille, France native's second brace of the season, and the first time a Blue Raider paired two goals with an assist since Peyton DePriest did so against UAB on Nov. 1, 2019.
» Elizabeth Slavinsky connected on a penalty kick in the 68' Sunday to score in her second consecutive match. The Collierville, Tenn. native is the third Blue Raider to score in two matches in a row this year, with Lebargy and Cambell Kivisto being the others.
» Eleanor Gough has scored two 87' goals for the Blue Raiders this year. She had the match-winner in a 1-0 victory at Howard Aug. 27 before equalizing at Tennessee Tech on Sept. 17 in a 2-2 draw. The Milton Keynes, England native also has the earliest goal scored in a match this year for the Blue Raiders, opening the scoring against Sam Houston in the 9'.
» Suder recorded a career-high 11 saves against Liberty Sept. 21, moving into fourth place all-time in career saves at MTSU and becoming the fifth member of the 200 career save club. The Jacksonville, Fla. native followed her historic performance with a six-save outing at New Mexico State and seven saves against Sam Houston.
Behind Enemy Lines
» UTEP carries a 2-10-2 overall record into Thursday. However, the Miners enter the match with momentum after knocking off WKU at home in their most recent fixture Saturday.
» Freshman Nicole Morales scored her first career goal against the Hilltoppers, scoring what would be the game winner in the 33' in El Paso. Morales' 15 shots on the season are a team-high.
» Junior Sheyliene Patolo leads the squad with three goals.
