MTSU defeats the Bearkats in straight sets on Sunday

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — The Middle Tennessee volleyball team took on the Sam Houston Bearkats on Saturday at Alumni Memorial Gym. The Blue Raiders sweep the Bearkats in three sets.
The Blue Raiders (13-6, 5-3 CUSA) the Sam Houston Bearkats (7-14, 1-7 CUSA) with set scores of 25-18, 25-17 and 25- In the first set, MTSU hit at a .455 hitting clip. The Blue Raiders held the Bearkats to a hitting percentage of .070 for the match.
Sophomore Adri Rhoda led the team in kills earning 11 on a .362 hitting clip. Redshirt senior Kayla Henley added eight kills on a .316 hitting percentage and three blocks. Junior Laure had a near double-double tallying eight kills and 14 digs. Graduate student Kaylee Oscarson reached 100 career solo blocks. Oscarson recorded 5 kills on a .500 hitting clip and tallied four total blocks. Senior Taylor Eisert finished the match with 36 assists averaging 12 per set.
