Blue Raiders sweep LA Tech on Friday

RUSTON, La. — The Middle Tennessee volleyball team traveled to Ruston, La. to take on the LA Tech Bulldogs on Friday. The Blue Raiders defeat the Bulldogs in three sets.
The Blue Raiders (14-6, 6-3 CUSA) top the LA Tech Bulldogs (6-13, 1-6 CUSA) with set score of 25-9, 25-20 and 25-19. MTSU has won their last three matches in sweeps. In the first set, the Blue Raiders had a hitting percentage of .500. In the match, MTSU held the Bulldogs to a hitting percentage of .050.
Junior Laure Jansen lead the team in kills with 16 on a .406 hitting clip. Redshirt senior Kayla Henley recorded a double-double with 12 kills and 10 digs. Henley had a hitting percentage of .667. Graduate student Kaylee Oscarson tallied nine kills and seven blocks. Senior Taylor Eisert earned 35 assists averaging 11.67 per set. Graduate student Erin Eisenhart finished the match with 14 digs earning 4.67 per set.
