Blue Raiders top LA Tech in three on Saturday

RUSTON, La. — The Middle Tennessee volleyball team took on LA Tech on Saturday in Ruston, La. The Blue Raiders sweep LA Tech in three.
The Blue Raiders (15-6, 7-3 CUSA) defeat the LA Tech Bulldogs (6-14, 1-7 CUSA) with set scores of 25-12, 25-16 and 25-15. MTSU finished the match with a hitting percentage of .388. The Blue Raiders held the Bulldogs to a hitting clip of .117.
Junior Laure Jansen lead the team in kills with 14 kills on a .600 hitting clip and had 8 digs. Redshirt senior Kayla Henley recorded seven kills and 11 digs. Sophomore Trae McCutchan earned six kills on a hitting percentage of .444. McCutchan added three aces. Redshirt senior Dasia Smith tallied six kills on a .455 hitting percentage. Senior Taylor Eisert totaled 32 assists earning 10.67 per set. Graduate student Kaylee Oscarson had five kills on a .500 hitting clip.
