Blue Raiders defeat UNC Asheville in three on Tuesday

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — The Middle Tennessee volleyball team hosted UNC Asheville on Tuesday at Alumni Memorial Gym. The Blue Raiders topped the Bulldogs in three sets.
The Blue Raiders (16-6, 7-3 CUSA) swept the UNC Asheville Bulldogs (6-15, 0-7 Big South) with set scores of 25-17, 25-17 and 25-12. MTSU finished the match with a hitting percentage of .493 and held the Bulldogs to a hitting percentage of .175.
Redshirt senior Kayla Henley lead the team in kills with 12 on a .857 hitting clip. Henley added six digs, four service aces and three blocks. Junior Laure Jansen tallied eight kills on a hitting percentage of .316. Graduate student Kaylee Oscarson totaled seven kills on a .600 hitting percentage. Senior Taylor Eisert recorded 33 assists averaging 11 per set. Sophomore Trae McCutchan had six kills hitting at a .417 clip and three service aces.
