Blue Raiders sweep UTEP on Friday

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — The Middle Tennessee volleyball team hosted the UTEP Miners on Friday at Alumni Memorial Gym. The Blue Raiders swept the Miners in three.
The Blue Raiders (17-6, 8-3 CUSA) topped the UTEP Miners (17-7, 9-4 CUSA) with set scores of 29-27, 25-17 and 25-23. MTSU finished the match hitting at a .400 clip. The Blue Raiders are on a seven-match win streak.
Graduate student Kaylee Oscarson recorded 13 kills on a .722 hitting percentage. The .722 hitting clip placed Oscarson tied for seventh in Blue Raider history in single-match hitting percentage in the 25-point era. Osarscon added four blocks as well. Junior Laure Jansen tallied a double-double with 13 kills on a .360 hitting percentage and 10 digs. Sophomore Adri Rhoda earned 13 kills on a .435 hitting clip. Senior Taylor Eisert totaled 40 assisting earning 13.3 per set.
