MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee will start the indoor track and field season this weekend on Saturday, December 2 by hosting the Dean Hayes Indoor Classic. The meet will take place inside the Murphy Center on the upper concourse track level starting at 10:00 a.m. CT.

The Blue Raiders finished last indoor season with Alaba Akintola earning Second Team All-American honors in the 100-meter and 200-meter at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Stephen Eloji and Carmelo Cannizzaro competed at the NCAA East Preliminaries as well.

The Dean Hayes Indoor Classic will be a dual meet with Tennessee State coming to Murfreesboro. Saturday's competition starts with field events before getting into the running events. The women's shot put, long jump and high jump will kick things off at 10:00 a.m. CT followed by the triple jump.

The running events will start at 12:30 p.m. CT with the 55-meter hurdle and dash prelims. For the full meet schedule, please click here.
