Lady Raiders set to host Norse

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee is set to host the Northern Kentucky Norse on Wednesday evening, its final home game before the new year. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT. The game will air on the Blue Raider Network and broadcast on ESPN+.

» Entering the game, Courtney Whitson is five made three-point field goals away from becoming the all-time record holder at Middle Tennessee.
» Whitson currently leads the league and ranks 43rd in the country in 3-pointers with 28.
» Anastasiia Boldyreva currently leads the league and ranks third in the country in blocks with 38.
» Jalynn Gregory is 59 points away from becoming the 34th Lady Raider to eclipse 1,000 career points.

» Middle Tennessee became just the 25th school in NCAA Division I women's basketball history and the third in Conference USA to reach 1,000 program wins on Thursday, Nov. 9 when the Lady Raiders defeated the Florida A&M Rattlers 93-48.

Scouting the Norse
» The Norse are coming off of a 77-59 loss to Tennessee Tech
» Mitchell-Steen tied a career best in both points and steals with yet another standout performance. The Oak Ridge, Tennessee native has now gone for 13-plus points in eight of NKU's nine games played so far this season. She is currently ranked fifth in the conference with an average of 15.6 points per contest.
» McCray recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, her third double-double of the year. The Oberlin, Ohio native continues to be a force on the glass as she leads the Horizon League in rebounds per game (9.2).
» It was a welcoming sign for the Norse just as Horizon play is about to get underway as both Davis and Igo returned to the court. It was Davis's first game since November 6, while Igo has been missing from the lineup since November 11.
