Blue Raiders battle for a 4-3 win against Lipscomb on Sunday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee women's tennis tallied their first road win of the season 4-3 against Lipscomb on Sunday, Feb. 19 at Ensworth High School.
The Blue Raiders claimed the doubles point. On court No. 1, Sana Garakani and Eloise Swarbrick picked up a 6-2 victory. Love-Star Alexis and Muskan Gupta won the doubles point for MTSU on court No. 3, winning 6-2.
In singles, Noelle Mauro helped the Blue Raiders gain a 2-0 lead over Lipscomb with a 6-2, 6-2 on court No. 5. Gupta picked up a 6-4, 6-2 victory on court No. 3. The Bison took two points on court No. 1 and No. 6 giving MTSU a 3-2 lead. On court No. 2, Garakani tallied her third straight match clincher with a 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 win.

"Today, we had a tough match and I am proud of the girls' efforts in both singles and doubles. Lipscomb is always solid and forces us to play smart. Today was no different.
