Four Upcoming games at Georgia Southern Tournament

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee softball will be in Statesboro, Georgia from Feb. 24-25 to play four games in two days in a tournament hosted by Georgia Southern.
The Blue Raiders will start competition on Friday against North Carolina A&T and Georgia Southern. The first game will begin at 10 a.m. CT and the next game will follow at 3 p.m. CT. Saturday, MTSU will face the same opponents but play back-to-back. The first game starts at 10 a.m. CT and the second is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. CT.

Series History
This is the first ever meeting between MTSU and North Carolina A&T. The Blue Raiders trail the series with Georgia Southern six wins to nine. The last time the two matched up was in 2017 when MTSU won both games.
Scouting the Competition
North Carolina A&T currently holds a 1-7 record thus far in the season. The team batting average is .228 with 20 runs scored on the year. The Aggies average 2.5 runs per game and roughly six hits per game. They are allowing almost eight runs a game on nine hits.
Georgia Southern starts the season at 5-4 with two losses to a top-ten ranked Alabama team. The Eagles will play South Carolina on Feb. 22 ahead of this weekend's competition. On average they score five runs and seven hits per game, while they also allow five runs on eight hits. Georgia Southern will rely on Freshman, Bailey Holland to do most of their work in the circle with already 25 innings pitched for the Eagles.
Last Time out: FGCU Invitational
The Blue Raiders ended 3-2 on the weekend but picked up their biggest win of the season over Boston College. This ACC win gave Head Coach Jeff Breeden his third Power 5 win at Middle Tennessee in 11 seasons. He has now beaten Louisville, Iowa and Boston College.
