Carcich named C-USA Pitcher of the Week

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Kamryn Carcich has earned Conference USA Pitcher of the Week honors, announced by the league office Monday afternoon. Middle Tennessee has now had a Player or Pitcher of the Week in three consecutive weeks.
Carcich ranks ninth overall in C-USA's ERA category with a 1.99 after this week's games. The junior transfer tossed a complete game shutout against SEMO earlier last week. Then, she followed that with a complete game against UAB allowing only one run. In 14 innings pitched this week, she put up a 0.48 ERA.
Carcich improved to 4-1 on the season after this week's outings. She has thrown 49 total innings for MTSU just behind Gretchen Mead with 61. Opposing batters are hitting just .183 off the transfer from Murray State. She leads the Blue Raiders in that category and ranks second in C-USA.
Middle Tennessee went 3-1 this weekend with two of their wins being led by Carcich in the circle.
