LUBBOCK, Texas — No. 24-ranked Middle Tennessee men's tennis battled and fell short 4-2 against No. 38 Texas Tech on Sunday, March 26 in Lubbock, Texas.
The Blue Raiders claimed the doubles point winning on court No. 2 and 1. On court No. 2, Pavel Motl and Stijn Slump picked up a 7-5 victory. No. 51 Oskar Brostrom Poulsen and Francisco Rocha fought back down 4-1 in the tiebreak to defeat No. 72 Demetris Azoidis/Reed Collier 7-6 (6) to secure the doubles point for MTSU.
In singles, the Red Raiders took a point on court No. 6. Ondrej Horak picked up a 7-6 (4), 6-3 victory on court No. 2 to give the Blue Raiders a 2-1 lead. The Red Raiders took points on court No. 2, 5 and 1 to clinch the win.
