Raider Finish up the Spring Games with a Win

MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. – The 14-5 Blue Raiders finish the weekend off with a win against UAlbany and go 3-2 at the Spring Games. Paige Connors got the win in Sunday's game to improve to 5-1 on the year.
The Raiders put up two runs in the first inning to set the tone for the game with two RBIs from Anyce Harvey. All tied up heading into the bottom of the third, Laura Mealer delivered a solo home run to put MTSU in front.
Paige Connors entered the game in the third inning to hold UAlbany scoreless up until the one run scored in the seventh. The early lead was too much for the Great Danes to recover from after the Blue Raiders scored in every inning but the second and sixth.
By the Numbers
· Paige Connors improved to 5-1 on the year.
· Laura Mealer is hitting .508 with five home runs on the year.
· Ava Tepe led MTSU in batting average at .538 in the Spring Games.
