MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee men's basketball has added Chris Loofe to a National Letter of Intent. A 6-11 forward, Loofe joins the Blue Raiders out of Link Year Prep in Branson, Mo., a program with a strong record of developing basketball talent that has sent 74 total players to the Division I ranks in eight years of existence, including 43 active players.
"We are excited to welcome Chris to our Blue Raider basketball family," head coach Nick McDevitt said. "He has very good mobility for someone his size, he plays with great energy and effort, and has developing perimeter skills that will fit in well with our team concepts.
Loofe, a native of Leander, Texas, averaged 13 points and seven rebounds while shooting 55 percent from the floor, 70 percent from the free throw line and 32 percent from 3-point range in 2022-23 for the Lions.
Prior to Link Year Prep, Loofe attended Leander High School in Leander, Texas, where he averaged 18 points and eight rebounds while earning All-Academic honors. He is the son of Rich and Diane Loofe.
