Akintola wins 100m and 200m at Crimson Tide Invitational

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Middle Tennessee men's and women's track and field teams completed the competition in Alabama with multiple personal records. Alaba Akintola took first in the 100m with a season-best time of 10.14s and won the 200m as well.
Men's Top Performances
· Alaba Akintola placed first in the men's 100m and 200m. In the 100m he ran a time of 10.14s for a season best and in the 200m he ran a 20.43s.
· Stephen Eloji placed first in the men's 110m hurdles with a time of 13.74s for a new personal best.
· Habtamu Geta finished third in the men's 1500m with a new personal-best time of 3:49.44s.
· In the men's 400m, Joshua Flynn ran a 48.94s time for a personal best.
· Mohlouwa Molutsi finished fourth right behind his teammate Geta in the 1500m race and set his own personal best with a time of 3:49.47s.
Women's Top Performances
· In the women's 1500m Faith Nyathi took second place with a new personal best of 4:30.03s.
· Leonie Beu finished third in the women's 400m with a personal best time of 54.76s.
· Glory Nyenke set a new personal best in the women's 200m with a time of 24.03s.
· in the women's 400m Francisca Jebor ran a 59.05s for a new personal best.
· Irene Jeptoo ran a 4:57.12s in the 1500m race for a new personal best.
· Freshman, Ruth Kimaiyo set a personal record in the 1500m race with a time of 5:00.92
