No. 27 Blue Raiders earn fourth-straight C-USA Title

HOUSTON, Texas — 1-seed/No. 27-ranked Middle Tennessee men's tennis captured their fourth-straight Conference USA title on Sunday, April 23 by defeating No. 41 UTSA 4-0 in Houston, Texas.
With today's victory, the Blue Raiders earn Conference USA's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The Blue Raiders claimed the doubles point with wins on court No. 1 and 3. No. 52 Oskar Brostrom Poulsen and Francisco Rocha started it off with a 6-2 victory on court No. 1. On court No. 3, the freshmen duo of Ondrej Horak and Marcel Kamrowski secured the doubles point winning 6-4.
To get things started in singles, Horak picked up a 6-3, 6-0 win on court No. 4 to give MTSU a 2-0 lead. On court No. 6, Pavel Motl tallied a 6-1, 6-2 victory to extend the Blue Raider lead to 3-0. Kamrowski clinched the win for MTSU winning 7-6 (5), 6-3 on court No. 6.

"The guys stepped up big today. We were waiting around all day with the rain didn't help with the nerves that come with when playing for a title. However, we all stayed poised and competed like crazy on every court. More importantly, we did in a first class manner as we always do.
