Campbell, Griffin, McAdoo, Murphy on College Football Hall of Fame ballot

IRVING, Texas – Joe Campbell, Don Griffin, Steve McAdoo and Coach Charles Murphy are all on the ballot for the 2024 College Football Hall of Fame Class, as announced by the National Football Foundation on Monday.
Legendary coach James "Boots" Donnelly is the only Blue Raider in the College Football Hall of Fame. Donnelly was inducted in 2013.
Campbell, a running back, was a two-time First Team All-America selection (1990-91), a three-time First Team All-Conference pick, and was named OVC Player of the Year in 1990. Campbell led the Blue Raiders in rushing all four years.
Griffin, a safety, was a 1985 First Team All-American and Ohio Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year to go with three First Team All-Conference selections. Griffin recorded 210 tackles, 13 career interceptions, and held the school record for interceptions in a game (3) for 21 years before it was broken in 2006.
McAdoo, an offensive lineman, was a two-time First Team All-America selection (1991-92) while also earning Third Team All-America honors by the Associated Press in 1990. McAdoo earned first team all-conference honors three times.
Murphy led the Blue Raider football program from 1947 to 1968. He captured seven Volunteer State Athletic Conference Championships, seven Ohio Valley Conference Championships, and was named the Ohio Valley Conference Coach of the Year in 1965.
The announcement of the 2024 College Football Hall of Fame Class will be made in early 2024, with specific details to be announced in the future.
The 2024 College Football Hall of Fame Class will be officially inducted during the 66th NFF Annual Awards Dinner Presented by Las Vegas on Dec. 10, 2024, and permanently immortalized at the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta. They will also be honored at their respective schools with an NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salute, presented by Fidelity Investments, during the 2024 season.
