FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Molly Bebelaar's 71 (-1) led the way for Middle Tennessee women's golf Friday in the first round of Vanderbilt's Mason Rudolph Championship. The Blue Raiders combined for a score of 294 (+6), their lowest on the North Course at Vanderbilt Legends Club since 2021.
MTSU finished the day in 12th place as a team. The 18-team field features 13 teams that currently represent the SEC, ACC, Big 12 and Pac 12 and six teams that reached the 2023 NCAA Championship.
Bebelaar is tied for 23rd overall. Her five birdies led the Blue Raiders in Friday's action.
Ella Manley enters the second round tied for 43rd at 73 (+1). The true freshman was 1-under over her final 17 holes after starting the day with a double bogey.
Kendall Maynard is tied for 54th at 74 (+2). Her 15 pars are a tournament high through one round.
Abbie Lee is in a tie for 70th at 76 (+4). Nicole Johnson is tied for 77th at 77 (+5) after the first round of her collegiate career.
