Blue Raiders Advance to Quarterfinals in Singles, Semifinals in Doubles at ITA Ohio Valley Regionals

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Blue Raiders Karim Al-Amin, Jakub Kroslak and Ondrej Horak advanced in their respective brackets today on day three of the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals in West Lafayette, Ind.
Al-Amin and Horak started the day off with their quarterfinal doubles match against host Purdue's No. 1 doubles team Maj Premzl and Aleksa Krivokapic. Middle Tennessee's top pairing advanced to tomorrow's semifinals with an 8-6 win, claiming their fourth win of the tournament.
In singles, Al-Amin and Kroslak advanced to the quarterfinals of the singles draw, as Al-Amin defeated Kentucky's Eli Stephenson 7-6 (7), 6-3 and Kroslak took down Indiana's Facundo Yunis in straight sets 6-3, 6-1. Horak, after a hard-fought three set match, fell to Tennessee's Alex Kotzen 3-6, 6-4, 6-2.
The Blue Raiders will be back in action at the ITA Regionals from Indiana tomorrow, as Al-Amin and Horak take on Hugo Coquelin and Henry Ruger of Vanderbilt in the semifinals of the main doubles draw.
