Soccer blanks Western Kentucky to stay Top 3 in CUSA Standings
In another dominant defensive performance in CUSA play, Middle Tennessee soccer picked up three points against WKU for the first time since 2017, defeating the Hilltoppers 2-0 at Dean A. Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium on Sunday night.
Manon Lebargy put away a breakaway through multiple Hilltoppers, set up by a gorgeous through-ball from Risui Arasaki, in the first half to claim the early advantage. Lebargy later set up winger Lexi Dendis with a long pass of her own in the second half, leading to Dendis putting away her second shot attempt after collecting her own deflection off the keeper to double MTSU's advantage. The Blue Raiders outshot WKU 22-11 on the night, including a 10-4 advantage in shots on goal.

With the win, MTSU now has 12 points on the season, two points ahead of fourth-place New Mexico State and just three points off CUSA leader FIU. They are five points clear of sixth-place Jacksonville State, the final team in the CUSA tournament if the standings were frozen today.
The Blue Raiders will travel to Sam Houston for a match on Sunday looking to continue their strong form.
Volleyball dominates Jax State with pair of wins over the weekend
It was a fun weekend of volleyball in the Alumni Memorial Gymnasium, as MTSU trounced Jacksonville State 25-11, 25-11, 25-17 on Sunday to complete the series sweep of the Gamecocks.

The Blue Raiders hit .351 as a team on Sunday, led by a 15-kill afternoon from Adriana Rhoda, who hit .444 on 27 attacks. Jacksonville State, meanwhile, was held to under .000 as a team on offense.
Now back to .500 in CUSA play, volleyball travels to Liberty this weekend for a pair of CUSA matchups. The Flames currently sit third in the CUSA standings with a 4-2 CUSA record.
ICYMI: Faith and Family Night, CUSA HOF honorees set for Tuesday night football game
Football faces a quick turnaround to get ready for Kennesaw State on Tuesday night, but Blue Raider fans can expect fun to be had in the stands for Faith and Family Night. Most notably, MTSU will honor their two Conference USA Hall of Famers in the Class of 2024: the late, legendary track coach Dean Hayes and NFL safety Kevin Byard, who will be in attendance while his Chicago Bears are on a bye this week!
Join us at tomorrow's (10/15) @MT_FB game vs. Kennesaw State as two Blue Raider LEGENDS, the late Coach Dean Hayes and Kevin Byard, are recognized as the newest members of the CUSA HoF, Class of 2024!

Softball posts big win as fall schedule rolls on
I had a great time on Saturday popping in over at the Blue Raider Softball field, where the MTSU bats were hot against visiting Snead State in front of a good crowd on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon.

You'll have two chances this weekend to see softball in action, with games scheduled against Chattanooga State Community College (Friday, 4 p.m.) and Tennessee State (Saturday, 2 p.m.). It's your last two chances to see the Blue Raiders at home this fall ahead of the Fall World Series at the end of October!

ICYMI: Women's Basketball took over the March Madness feed last week
If you ever wanted to see Rick Insell sing karaoke, which I did not know I wanted to see until I saw it first-hand thanks to NCAA March Madness visiting Insell's women's basketball program earlier this fall, you don't want to miss the highlight reel the NCAA put together from their visit.
