MTSU falls to Hilltoppers 3-0 in CUSA match
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Middle Tennessee volleyball suffered a defeat to Western Kentucky on the first night of the two-match series. The Blue Raiders started out slow going down 18-4 in the first set but showed a lot of heart and made each set a nailbiter. The scores of the sets were as follows: 16-25, 17-25 and 23-25.
The Blue Raiders (6-11, 2-3) started out the match very slow, recording a .000 hitting percentage in the first two sets, but rallied to put up a .323 hitting percentage in set three. The Hilltoppers finished the match with a .322 hitting percentage which was too much to overcome for the Blue Raiders. Middle Tennessee volleyball will look to build off their momentum from set three heading into tomorrow nights rematch at WKU.
