Kiplagat to compete in NCAA National Championship

MADISON, Wis. — Allan Kiplagat is set to compete in the NCAA Cross Country National Championship on Saturday, Nov. 23, at the University of Wisconsin.
Kiplagat has had a stellar freshman campaign and will look to end it on a high note. He has improved his time in each race this season, claiming first place at the Conference USA Championship and finishing fifth at the NCAA South Region Championship. He earned an automatic bid to the national championship after his 29:47.6 time in the 10K in Tallahassee last weekend.
The weather forecast for Saturday doesn't look favorable for runners who prefer warmer conditions. Temperatures are expected to be 33 degrees with a steady wind of 4 mph.
The race is scheduled to begin at 10:10 a.m. CT, with the award presentation at 11 a.m. It will be streamed on ESPNU and ESPN+.
