HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Middle Tennessee will open its 50th season of women's basketball when they take on Northern Kentucky on Monday, November 4, at 5 p.m. (CT) at Truist Arena. Tipoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. CT. The game will air on the Blue Raider Network and broadcast on ESPN+.

SERIES HISTORY
» This marks the fourth meeting in series history between the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders and Northern Kentucky Norse.
» Middle Tennessee owns a 2-1 lead over NKU in the all-time series.
» MTSU won the last meeting against NKU last season 83-42. Blue Raider great, Savannah Wheeler led the team with 34 points, seven rebounds and three assists.
BLUE RAIDER NOTES
» Middle Tennessee will open its 50th season of women's basketball when they take on Northern Kentucky on Monday, Nov. 4, at 5 p.m. (CT) at Truist Arena.
» MTSU is 30-19 all-time in season openers and 9-6 all-time in season openers on the road.
» The Blue Raiders return 10 players, including three starters, from the 2023-24 squad that went 30-5 and won the CUSA regular season and tournament titles and advanced to the Round of 32 of the NCAA Tournament.
» MTSU is 10-9 in season openers under head coach Rick Insell.
» The last time the Blue Raiders opened the season on the road was in 2022-23. MTSU fell to Mercer 75-76 on Nov. 7.
» Senior Anastasiia Boldyreva is MTSU's leading returning scorer (14.5 ppg) and leading returning rebounder (8.5). The 6-7 center also led the team, shooting 61 percent from the field this past season.
» Middle Tennessee will play a tough non-conference slate highlighted neutral sites matchups with Iowa State, Kansas State and Purdue, and a trip down I-40 to take on the Tennessee Lady Vols. The Blue Raiders will face eight teams that finished in the top 150 of the NET Rankings last season, including seven that finished in the top 100 and four that finished in the top 40 before heading into league play.
» MTSU has enjoyed great success on the road under Head Coach Rick Insell. The Blue Raiders are 171-88 overall on the road under Insell, for a 65 percent winning ledger.
SCOUTING THE NORSE
» Northern Kentucky enters a new era under first-year head coach Jeff Hans in 2024-25, who has brought in five newcomers to join nine returners in Highland Heights.
» The Norse were picked to finish seventh out of 11 teams in the league.
» Macey Blevins, a senior from Monticello, Ky., impressed in her first season with the Norse in 2023-24 after transferring in from Western Kentucky. Blevins posted a pair of 30-point games, with a season high 31 vs. Robert Morris in February. She ranked third on the team in scoring at 12.9 PPG, and knocked down 41 threes at a 34% clip. Her 77 assists ranked second on the squad as well.
