Men’s Tennis welcomes Virginia Tech on Friday, heads to Indiana on Sunday

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee men's tennis will host Virginia Tech at the Adams Tennis Complex on Friday, Feb. 9 at 5 p.m. CT. On Sunday, Feb. 4, MTSU will travel to Bloomington to take on Indiana at 11 a.m. CT.
The Blue Raiders are coming off a split from last weekend. MTSU took down No. 22 Mississippi State on Friday but fell short against No. 19 Michigan State on Sunday. The win on Friday would be Head Coach Jimmy Borendame's first win against the Bulldogs and the Blue Raiders first ranked win of the season.
Horak is the reigning Conference USA Athlete of the Week. The Opava, Czech Republic native went 4-0 in singles and doubles over the weekend against No. 22 Mississippi State and No. 19 Michigan State.
As a team, MTSU has 25 singles wins so far this season. Leo Raquin and Jakub Kroslak are both 5-2 respectively.
The team is 14-5 in doubles to start the season. Horak and Raquin are both 7-0 in doubles. As a doubles pairing, Horak and Raquin are 6-0.
The latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association singles and doubles rankings were released on Wednesday. Raquin moved up seven spots to No. 18 and Marcel Kamrowski came in at No. 79.
