Women’s Tennis set to host UAB on Saturday

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee women's tennis will welcome UAB to the Outdoor Tennis Facility on Saturday, March 16 at 1 p.m. CT.
For the Friday match, admission is free and parking will be available in the Reese Smith lot and a shuttle will be provided to fans. Fans are also able to park in the Greenland lot but must pay the TSSAA parking fee. See map below.
The Blue Raiders fell to No. 27 FIU 4-0 in the last match.
As a team, MTSU has totaled 41 singles wins. Freshman Lena Peyer leads the team in singles wins with nine. Sana Garakani and Eloise Swarbrick are not too far behind with eight each.
In doubles, the Blue Raiders earned 16 doubles wins this season, Garakani, Lilly-Sophie Schmidt and Swabrick lead the team with six doubles wins.
Match 16: Middle Tennessee (8-7 1-1 CUSA) vs. UAB (9-8, 0-1 AAC)

- Saturday's matchup will be 23rd meeting between the two programs. MTSU leads the series 16-6.

- UAB is 9-8 on the season. In the last match, the Blazers swept Nicholls 7-0.
- The Panthers return seven players from last season and bring in one freshman. The returners combined for 79 singles and 43 doubles wins in 2023.
