Middle Tennessee drops midweek tilt to DePaul

Murfreesboro, TENN. —Middle Tennessee State (8-9, 1-1) dropped a tough match to the DePaul Blue Demons (13-6, 0-0) on Wednesday afternoon 4-1 at the Outdoor Tennis Complex on the corner of the MTSU campus.
DePaul took the doubles point by clinching on court two.
Singles play was extremely competitive, with three matches going into first-set tiebreaks. Sana Garakani took hers on court one 7-3 and Ilaria Sposetti stormed back from down 5-1 to win in her tiebreak 7-4 to take the first set. DePaul won the tiebreak on court three to take the first set.
With four matches going into third sets, Eloise Swarbrick picked up her team-high ninth singles win of the season on court five in a third set to put her in a tie with Lena Peyer for the Blue Raider team lead.
DePaul won on court's one, three and four to take the match.
