Women’s Tennis welcomes No. 69 Liberty on Friday, UT Southern on Sunday

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee women's tennis will host No. 69 Liberty on Friday, April 5 at 4 p.m. CT at the Outdoor Tennis Complex. Two days later, the Blue Raiders welcome UT Southern to the OTC on Sunday, April 7 at 1 p.m. CT.
For the matches, admission is free and parking will be available in the Greenland Lot A.
MTSU tallied their second Conference USA victory of the season defeating UTEP 4-1 in their last match.
As a team, MTSU has totaled 46 singles wins so far this season. Freshman Lena Peyer leads the team in singles wins with 10. Sana Garakani and Eloise Swarbrick are not too far behind with nine each.
In doubles, the Blue Raiders earned 20 doubles wins this season. Garakani and Lilly-Sophie Schmidt leads the teams with seven doubles wins so far this season.
Match 20: Middle Tennessee (9-10, 2-2 CUSA) vs. Liberty (12-5, 1-0 CUSA)

- Friday's matchup will be just the third meeting between MTSU and LU. The series is tied 1-1. The Flames won the matchup last season 4-3.
Scouting the Flames
- Liberty is 12-5 on the season and is ranked No. 69 according to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. In the last match, the Flames swept Richmond 4-0.
- LU returns eight players from last season and brought in two freshmen to this year's team.

- UTS returns six players from last season. UT Southern brought in a two freshmen and two transfers to this year's squad.
