MTSU celebrates BRAA donors

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (August 16, 2024) – Middle Tennessee State University Athletics hosted its annual Blue Raider Athletic Association (BRAA) Donor Celebration event on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Hollingshead Aviation in Smyrna. The event honored the generosity of BRAA members who have donated $100 or more annually to support Blue Raider student-athletes.
The evening showcased the impact of donor generosity on MTSU student-athletes, providing a platform to recognize outstanding achievements and celebrate the camaraderie among the Blue Raider family. Over 500 attendees enjoyed an exclusive opportunity to connect with coaches, staff, and fellow supporters while experiencing the unique atmosphere of Hollingshead Aviation.
"We are grateful for the support and dedication of our donors", said Director of Athletics, Chris Massaro. "Your presence at the 2024 Donor Celebration and your generosity fuels our programs to help our student athletes reach their lofty goals. We are excited for the upcoming season and can't wait to see everyone at our games."
The BRAA Board President for the 2024-25 season is Dr. David McKnight. "On behalf of the entire BRAA Board, I want to express our appreciation to all of you for your attendance at the 2024 Donor Celebration", said McKnight. "Your support is instrumental in providing our student-athletes with the resources they need to excel both on and off the field. It's an honor to serve as your Board President this year, and I am excited to continue working alongside you to elevate MTSU Athletics."
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of awards to distinguished BRAA members for their exceptional contributions to the university. The 2023-2024 BRAA awards include:

The Blue Raider Athletic Association, supporting MTSU student-athletes since 1987, is committed to providing the critical resources needed for Blue Raiders to excel academically, athletically, and in our community. The BRAA finished the 2023-24 season with over 1,200 members, including 316 new members. Membership starts at $100 per year and comes with exclusive benefits.
