MTSU Drops Final Match of the Blue Raider Bash

Blue Raiders lose 0-3 against No. 21 Arkansas State
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee volleyball lost the final match of Blue Raider Bash falling to No. 21 Arkansas State. The Blue Raiders lost the match by a score of 0-3, with all the sets coming down to the wire. The scores of the sets were as follows: 21-25, 23-25, and 23-25.
MTSU (2-4, 0-0) could not overcome their 27 hitting errors, even though they had a higher hitting percentage than Arkansas State (5-1, 0-0). The Blue Raiders recorded an absurd 14 blocks during the match. Freshman Emma Nilson helped take part in nine of those. Freshman Andi Spies was also apart of the block party, helping in seven of those blocks.
Outside hitter Adriana Rhoda led the team in kills with 11. Kiera Booth also had a productive offensive game recording seven kills, but on an outstanding .538 hitting percentage. Senior Laure Jansen led the team with 12 digs. Two Blue Raiders recorded double-digit assists, with freshmen Reagan McIntosh and Andi Spies recording 14 and 12, respectively.
