Durbin garners second TSWA Player of the Week honors

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Raegan Durbin has been named Tennessee Sports Writers Association's College Volleyball Player of the Week on Tuesday, October 14. This marks the second TSWA award of Durbin's career and is the third time a Blue Raider has taken home TSWA volleyball honors this season.
Durbin had a stellar week featuring both match highs and career highs. Durbin totaled 51 kills, 20 digs and nine aces across three matches. In MTSU's midweek sweep of Tennessee State, Durbin led all players in the match with 10 kills and five aces, the five aces a career high and a tied third best performance in Conference USA for aces in a three-set match. In MTSU's first match against Delaware, Raegan Durbin caught fire and posted a career high 26 kills against the Blue Hens, leading all players in the match by at least 12 kills. The 26 kills against the Blue Hens is the 4th best kills performance by a player in CUSA spanning the entire season. In MTSU's second match against Delaware, Durbin led all players in the match again with 15 kills.
Raegan Durbin has tallied 226 kills averaging 3.28 kills per set, 178 digs averaging 2.58 digs per set, and 28 service aces in 18 matches this season. Durbin is currently 3rd in Conference USA and 58th in the nation in total service aces and 7th in CUSA in both kills and points.

Middle Tennessee is back at home to host Liberty for another two Conference USA matches. The Blue Raiders will face the Flames twice, the first match on Friday, October 17 at 6:00 p.m. CT and again on Saturday, October 18 at 1:00 p.m. The matches will be streamed on ESPN+.
