Blue Raiders fall in second five-set battle with Flames

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee Volleyball dropped a tough five-set battle in the second clash with the Liberty Flames. The set scores were as follows: 26-24, 23-25, 25-19, 15-25, 8-15.
Middle Tennessee played a well-balanced match on both sides of the ball. Seven Blue Raiders combined for nine double-digit contributions. Gabrielle Clinkscale led the Blue Raiders in kills with 15 while Raegan Durbin notched 14, Michaela Dlouhá posted 12 and Payton Deidesheimer totaled 11. Caroline Macander tallied 44 assists on the match along with four kills of her own.
Isil Yilmaz and Mackenna Poole led the Blue Raider defense with 16 digs each, the mark a career high for Poole. Macander notched 12 digs and Durbin posted 10, garnering them each a double-double. Durbin led the Blue Raiders from the service line with three aces, Poole tallying two, another career high for the redshirt freshman.
