HUNTSVILLE, Texas — Middle Tennessee women's soccer (6-4-3, 1-1-1 CUSA) fell 1-0 on the road to Sam Houston (5-3-2, 2-0-1 CUSA) Thursday night at Pritchett Field.
Goalkeeper Demi Gronauer anchored the Blue Raider defense with three saves over 90 minutes, while midfielder Ximena Agosto Jauregui paced the attack with four shots, including two on target. Forward Emma Pettersen and senior Idun Kvaale also created dangerous chances, each recording two shots to test Sam Houston's goalkeeper.
Sam Houston broke the deadlock in the 79th minute, scoring the game's only goal to secure the win.

"We played well tonight and deserved more from the game. We now need to rest and get ready for LA Tech."

The Blue Raiders outshot the Bearkats 12-11 and put five attempts on frame, but couldn't find the breakthrough.
