Middle Tennessee Opens Season with Dominant Exhibition Win

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee women's basketball opened the 2025-26 season with an impressive showing in exhibition play Sunday afternoon at the Murphy Center, earning a decisive win over Fisk University.
The Blue Raiders displayed depth and balance throughout the contest, using strong ball movement and defensive pressure to control the pace from start to finish. Several players made key contributions as the team continued to build early-season chemistry.
The Blue Raiders controlled the game from the opening tip, shooting 55 percent from the field and outrebounding the Bulldogs 53-26. Middle Tennessee displayed depth throughout the lineup, with 11 players finding the scoring column and four reaching double figures.
The Blue Raiders used a 35-0 run through the second and third quarters to take complete control, holding Fisk to just five total points across those two periods. Middle Tennessee's defense forced 25 turnovers and converted them into 34 points on the other end.

Nine Blue Raiders made their debut tonight in the blue and white.
