Brown Named CUSA Defensive Player of the Week

DALLAS, Texas – Middle Tennessee defender Emma Brown has been recognized as Conference USA's Defensive Player of the Week, according to an announcement from the conference office on Tuesday.
Brown started and played the full 90 minutes in each of the Blue Raiders' final three matches, guiding the defensive unit to two clean sheets — including a decisive 1–0 win on the road at Kennesaw State that clinched a spot in the CUSA Tournament.
A steady, veteran presence, Brown has started all 18 matches this season, helping MTSU limit opponents to just 16 goals across 18 games (0.89 goals per game) and contributing to three total shutouts. Her leadership, communication, and ability to organize the back line have been critical in keeping Middle Tennessee among the league's top defensive teams.
