Women's Soccer Earns 25th Consecutive United Soccer Coaches College Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Middle Tennessee women's soccer received the 2025–26 United Soccer Coaches College Team Academic Award for its outstanding academic performance during the past academic year, the organization announced Friday.
The Blue Raiders have now earned the team academic honor for 25 consecutive years, including every season under head coach Aston Rhoden.
To qualify, a team must hold a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. MTSU was one of 777 college soccer teams (across all divisions) to qualify, after posting an impressive 3.74 team GPA in the classroom for the 2025-26 academic year.
Middle Tennessee is one of five Conference USA women's soccer teams to earn the award for 2025-26.
Winning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 25th consecutive season is an incredible achievement and a reflection of the standard our players have established and sustained for more than two decades, Rhoden said. To be among the top 1% of women's soccer programs nationally in the history of this award speaks to generations of Blue Raiders who have taken great pride in excellence both in the classroom and on the field. We are extremely proud of our players and grateful for the faculty, academic staff, and coaches who continue to support their success.
Following its lone exhibition match against Southern Miss on Thursday, the Blue Raiders will open their season at home against Troy on Thursday, Aug. 13 at 7 p.m.
