Volleyball drops first contest with FIU

MIAMI, Fla. – Middle Tennessee Volleyball fell to FIU in straight sets in their first meeting of the weekend. The set scores were as follows: 12-25, 26-28, 11-25.
The highlight of the night for the Blue Raiders was from behind the service line. Middle Tennessee led FIU nine aces to six, Raegan Durbin topping the Blue Raiders with three aces, Caroline Macander and Michaela Dlouhá each posting two. The Blue Raiders also played a solid match defensively; Isil Yilmaz led the back court with 20 digs, Durbin and Macander notching 10 a piece.
Offensively, there were no Blue Raiders with double-digit kills. Dlouhá and Durbin led Middle Tennessee with seven kills each and Aowyn Schrader totaled six. Macander dished out 15 assists, securing her 16th double-double of the season.
By the Numbers

- 16: With her double-double in tonight's match, Caroline Macander is now the single-season double-doubles leader in the rally scoring era with 16.
