MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee returns to the Glass House to host midstate rival Belmont on Wednesday, Dec. 3, inside Murphy Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT. The game will air on the Blue Raider Network and broadcast on ESPN+.

SERIES HISTORY
» This marks the 24th meeting in series history between the Blue Raiders and Bruins.
» MTSU owns a 17-6 lead over Belmont in the all-time series.
» The Bruins won the previous meeting 64-51 on Mar. 20, 2025 in the opening round of the WBIT in Nashville, Tenn.
BLUE RAIDER NOTES
» MTSU enters the matchup coming off of a 47-69 loss to Mississippi State in the Emerald Coast Classic Bay Bracket Championship Game. The Blue Raiders were led by Macie Phifer who tallied a career high 13 points and nine rebounds.
» Middle Tennessee is 56-3 over the previous three season at home. The Blue Raiders only losses have come against Seton Hall in the WNIT semifinals in 2022-23, against Ivy League power house Princeton in 2023-24, and 13th-ranked Tennessee in 2025-25.
» Middle Tennessee is one of only a handful of Division I programs that do not feature a single returning starter on the roster. According to available national data, Santa Clara is the only program in the country bringing in more newcomers while also returning zero starters.
» Senior Alayna Contreras was selected to the CUSA Preseason All-Conference Team. The Minneapolis, Minn., native started all 33 games last year and led UMKC in scoring (17.3 ppg), minutes, field goals made, three-pointers made and free throws made.
» Middle Tennessee was picked third in the CUSA preseason poll. This marks only the sixth time in Rick Insell's 21 seasons — and just the fourth time in CUSA — that the Blue Raiders have not been selected as the preseason favorite.
SCOUTING THE BRUINS
» Belmont enters the matchup with a 3-4, 0-0 MVC record. The Bruins are comming off a pair of losses to Ohio State and McNeese State at the Baha Mar Hoops Pink Flamingo Championship.
» Jailyn Banks leads the Bruins in scoring at 14.9 PPG, while Quinn Eubanks leads the team in boards (6.1).
» Banks and Tuti Jones are dishing at a team-high 3.4 assists per game, while Jones in grabbing a team high 2.9 steals per game
» For the second time in four seasons, the Bruins were picked as the preseason favorites to win the Missouri Valley Conference. Belmont captured a regular season championship in its first season in the Valley in 2022-23.
