MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee women's tennis is back in action with three matches over four days, facing Austin Peay, Alabama A&M and Missouri State.
The Blue Raiders are coming off a successful weekend, defeating both Belmont and Murray State to extend their winning streak to four. They will look to continue their momentum with two home matches against Austin Peay and Missouri State and a road match at Alabama A&M in between.
History vs. Austin Peay
Middle Tennessee opens the stretch with a home match against Austin Peay on Thursday, marking the 13th meeting between the programs. The Govs won the last matchup, a 6-1 victory in 2023, but the Blue Raiders lead the all-time series 10-2 and aim to bounce back after last season's loss.
Austin Peay enters the match with a 2-4 record but is on a two-match win streak, including a 7-0 sweep over Belmont and a 4-3 victory against Western Kentucky.
First serve is set for 4:30 p.m. CT at the Adams Tennis Complex.
At Alabama A&M
Following Thursday's match, the Blue Raiders hit the road to face Alabama A&M in Huntsville, Alabama. Middle Tennessee holds a perfect 7-0 all-time record against the Bulldogs, including a 6-1 victory in their last meeting in Murfreesboro.
Alabama A&M is 0-4 this season and is coming off a 7-0 loss to Presbyterian.
The match time is set for 1 p.m. CT in Huntsville.
Closing vs. Missouri State
After Sunday's match, the Blue Raiders return home to face Missouri State at the Adams Tennis Complex, offering a preview of the Bears before they join Conference USA next season. This marks the first-ever meeting between the programs.
Missouri State will play Western Kentucky before traveling to Murfreesboro. The Bears enter that match with a 1-8 record, with their lone win coming against Central Arkansas.
The first serve is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT on Monday, Feb. 24, at the Adams Tennis Complex.
