Pair of Blue Raiders Named CUSA Doubles Team of the Week

DALLAS – Conference USA announced its April 2 Doubles Team of the Week, with a pair of Blue Raiders earning the honor.

Shu Matsuoka and Igor Mandou Berranger were named C-USA's Doubles Team of the Week after their win over No. 44 Memphis. It was the first time this season the duo played together, though they previously paired up during the fall and parts of last spring.

Reunited against Memphis, Matsuoka and Berranger picked up right where they left off, earning a 6-4 victory over Luis Carvalho and Alejandro Vizoso.

The duo looks to build on its success and bolster the Blue Raiders' doubles efforts as the team prepares for two home matches this week against South Florida and Eastern Illinois.

The Blue Raiders return home this weekend for two matches at the MTSU Outdoor Tennis Complex. They will face South Florida on Friday before taking on Eastern Illinois on Saturday.
