MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee women's soccer will host Jackson State at 1 p.m. Sunday at Dean A. Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium in the team's 2025 home opener.
History vs. Jackson State
The Blue Raiders and Tigers will meet for just the second time in program history. Middle Tennessee leads the all-time series 1-0, claiming a 6-2 win in the last meeting on Aug. 25, 2016, in Nashville.
About Middle Tennessee
Freshman forward Olivia Best scored her first career goal, assisted by midfielder Ximena Jauregui, in Thursday's season-opening win at Belmont. Senior forward Taijah Fraser added the eventual game-winner goal which marks her fourth career goal with senior defender Megan Carroll tallying the assist. Sophomore goalkeeper Demi Gronauer recorded four saves in the match.
About Jackson State
Last season, forward Kendyl Terrell led the Tigers with five goals, six assists and 16 points. Goalkeeper Jordan Hamilton finished the year with 28 saves.
Head coach Ted Flogaites is in his seventh season at Jackson State, holding a 40-55-10 record with the program and a 194-191-28 career mark in his 23rd season overall.
