Blue Raiders down Radford in first day of Virginia Tech Classic

BLACKSBURG, Va. – Middle Tennessee Volleyball downed the Radford Highlanders in a tough four-set battle. The set scores were as follows: 25-20, 25-23, 17-25, 26-24.
The Blue Raiders saw a well-rounded offensive contribution, Raegan Durbin and Michaela Dlouhá both with double figures. Durbin led the Middle Tennessee attack with 12 kills, Dlouhá with 10 and Payton Deidesheimer with eight. Aowyn Schrader entered the match towards the end of the third set and was a game changer for the Blue Raiders. In not even a full two sets of action, Schrader totaled seven kills, fourth highest of the match for Middle Tennessee.
Raegan Durbin led the match defensively for the Blue Raiders as well, totalling 15 digs, earning her yet another double-double. Isil Yilmaz and Caroline Macander both contributed 14 digs, Marie Lowell with eight. Macander also notched 39 assists, garnering her 7th career double-double.
