Blue Raiders in second after two rounds at Sandestin Collegiate Classic

DESTIN, Fla. – Middle Tennessee sits in second place after 36 holes at the Sandestin Collegiate Classic at The Raven Golf Club, firing rounds of 278 and 276 for a 14-under-par 554 total.
Junior Carter Maneth leads the field after carding back-to-back 5-under-par 66s for a career-low 36-hole total of 10-under-par 132. Freshman Owen Queener also recorded a career-low round Tuesday with a 2-under-par 69 to climb into a tie for 44th at 2-over-par 144.
West Florida leads the tournament at 16-under-par 552, two shots ahead of the Blue Raiders. ULM is third at 13-under 555, while Austin Peay and Mercer are tied for fourth at 11-under 557.
The Sandestin Collegiate Classic continues with a final 18 holes on Wednesday, Sep. 24. Final round action will begin at 9:00 a.m. CT.
The Lineup
• Maneth matched his career-low round for the second straight day with a 5-under-par 66. He leads the field at 10-under 132.
• Maddox Crowder followed his opening 68 with an even-par 71 and is tied for 15th at 3-under 139.
• Cooper Solberg improved with a 1-under 70 and is tied for 28th at 1-under 141.
• Queener bounced back from an opening 75 with his career-low 69. He is tied for 44th at 2-over 144.
• Connor Henry posted matching rounds of 73 and is tied for 59th at 4-over 146.

"Really proud of the guys today — we put together a great round," said Head Coach Mark McEntire. "Carter was outstanding again, and it was awesome to see Owen bounce back with a career round. That shows a lot of toughness. We've put ourselves in a good position on the leaderboard, and I'm excited to see how we finish tomorrow."
