MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee volleyball opens up their home slate with a sweep against the Marist Red Foxes. The Blue Raiders took care of business, leading the Red Foxes in every stat category aside from errors. The set scores were as follows: 25-18, 25-18, 25-15.
Tonight's win was led by Raegan Durbin, who had 12 kills and no errors hitting an astounding .522 on the outside pin. Durbin's efficiency was outshined only by Logan Carr, hitting .778 with 7 kills and no errors.
"I'm really proud of the girls for their execution," said Head Coach Alexa Keckler. "Reagan from last week to this week was more confident and more successful, our middles were really engaged and Caroline did a great job of getting them involved. I feel like tonight in particular we had a game plan, we went in, we executed it, and here we are with a win."
The most striking difference in the match was Middle Tennessee's nine blocks to Marist's one. Michaela Dlouhá led Middle Tennessee at the net, contributing six of the nine Blue Raider blocks. Dlouhá was also a big contributor to the pressure from the Blue Raider service line, setting a Middle Tennessee 2025 match high four aces.
Caroline Macander had another fantastic performance, earning her third career double-double with 29 assists, ten digs, and a career high three aces. The senior setter continues to shine, leading the team in assists, digs and double-doubles.
