Blue Raiders Set for Home Opener vs. Northwestern, Lipscomb

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee women's tennis opens its home slate this week as the Blue Raiders welcome Northwestern and Lipscomb to Murfreesboro.
About Middle Tennessee
The Blue Raiders are coming off a strong 6–1 win over Florida A&M last Saturday, sweeping all three doubles matches to secure the opening point.
The duo of sophomore Sara Conde and freshman Zora Koenig set the tone with a 6–2 victory at No. 1 doubles. Wins from junior Lena Peyer and senior Zenn Lim, along with freshman Sthefany Lima and senior Rutuja Chaphalkar, completed the doubles sweep.
About Northwestern
This matchup marks the first meeting between Northwestern and Middle Tennessee, and the Wildcats will be making their first appearance in Murfreesboro.
Claire Pollard is in her 27th season as Northwestern's head women's tennis coach, having taken over the program prior to the 1999 season. She is the fourth head coach in program history.
About Lipscomb
Middle Tennessee holds a 15–2 all-time advantage over Lipscomb, including a 9–1 record since 2012.
The Bisons are led by Jamie Aid, who enters her 13th season as head coach of Lipscomb women's tennis and her 16th overall with the program during the 2025–26 season.
Match Details
Middle Tennessee Women's Tennis kicks off the weekend at home with a matchup against Northwestern on Saturday at 11 a.m. CT, followed by a Sunday contest versus Lipscomb at 1 p.m., both at the Adams Tennis Complex.
