COLLEGE GROVE, Tenn. – As the midway point of the 2026 ITA Ohio Valley Regionals passes, one pair and one individual remain in the race for a title and an automatic NCAA Tournament berth.
Both Aryan Saleh (singles) and the pair of Clement Mayoral and Antoine Mayoral (doubles) moved on to Sunday play, continuing their winning runs into the weekend.
The Mayoral brothers' chemistry prevailed once again as they defeated ETSU's Oscar Martinez and Dmitry Kopilevich to advance to the round of 16. The 8-4 triumph by the Blue Raider siblings means they will meet Purdue's Juan David Valazquez and Jacob Lee for a spot in the last eight, with the match set to be contested at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
On the other hand, Eric Crivei and Saleh's progress came to a halt in favor of Indiana's Aryan Badlani and Ariel Zauber, as the Hoosier pair came out victorious, 8-1.
In singles, Birtan Duran and Crivei's runs came to an end on Saturday, falling to Kentucky's Eli Stephenson and Purdue's Lorenzo Balducci, respectively.
Duran fell in successive close sets, 6-4, 6-4, while Crivei dropped his contest, 6-1, 6-3.
Advancing to the final eight, Aryan Saleh picked up two victories, beginning with Purdue's Juan David Velasquez. The German began on the back foot, down 3-4 in the first set. He won two straight to improve to 5-4, before the scores evened at five all. Saleh then pulled away to claim the victory, 7-5.
The second set progressed just as tight as the first did, except in the Boilermaker's favor. Velasquez claimed victory to force a third set, winning 6-4.
In the final set, the Old Dominion transfer comfortably pulled away, triumphing 6-3.
His second singles match of the day lasted shorter than the first, as he took down Indiana's Aidan Atwood in straight-set fashion, 6-2, 7-5.
Saleh earned two of the first three games in set one, jumping to a 2-1 lead. He then pulled away, winning three straight, to improve to 5-1 in game one. Atwood pulled one back before Saleh put the set away, taking it 6-2.
The second set began the same way the first did, with Saleh leaping to a 2-1 advantage. However, Atwood kept pace with the German Blue Raider, staying within one all the way until the 10th set, when he tied things up to force extra games. Saleh was able to take care of him once again, winning the next two games to take the set, 7-5, and ultimately the match.
Saleh's victory tees up a tie with Kentucky's Jack Loutit at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday.
