Birtan Duran

Overcame ODU’s Aryan Saleh 6-7, 7-6, 6-2 in the Battle of the Boro.
Defeated NC State’s No. 110 William Manning 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 in the NCAA tournament first round, securing the first ranked win of his career.
In singles, holds a 7-4 record on court three and is 3-0 on court two.

2024-2025 (Sophomore at UNA)

Won a total of 25 matches throughout singles and doubles play, finishing the year 14-5 in singles and 11-4 in doubles.
Tied the team high in doubles victories with Alberto Altur and Izan Orgiles.
Played from the top two flights in doubles, going 4-2 from flight one with a 7-2 record from flight two.
Ranged from flights two through five in completed singles bouts, going 0-1 from flight two, 2-1 from flight three, 11-2 from flight four and 1-1 from flight five.
Went unbeaten in his final 11 singles matches from March 12 through April 13, picking up nine wins versus Alabama A&M, Austin Peay, Bellarmine, Lipscomb, Stetson, FGCU, EKU, Queens, and North Florida.

2023-2024 (Freshman at UNA)

2024 Unanimous Atlantic Sun Conference All-Freshman Team selection.
Fnished the regular season with a 17-7 record in singles with a 7-12 record in doubles.
Played primarily from the second through sixth flights, going 1-0 from flight two, 5-2 from flight three, 3-3 from flight four, 5-0 from flight five and 3-2 from flight six.
In doubles, went 5-11 from flight one and 2-1 from flight three.
Earned his first ASUN Mens Tennis Player of the Week on March 6.
Won 10 straight singles matches from Jan. 29 – March 14, picking up wins against UAB, Texas Rio Grande Valley, UT Arlington, Chattanooga, Troy, Jackson State, Alcorn State, Jacksonville State, Mississippi Valley State and Alabama A&M.
In ASUN play, went 5-4 in singles and 3-4 in doubles, with singles wins over FGCU, Kennesaw State, EKU, Lipscomb and Austin Peay and doubles victories over FGCU, Queens and Austin Peay.

Prior to College

Prepped at Vizyon Koleji under Head Coach Ümit Güner, where he primarily played in the first flight.
Was a U18 Turkish champion in 2022.
Was a J5 champion in 2021, finishing as a J5 finalist, J4 finalist and J3 semi-finalist in the same year.
