No. 37 Middle Tennessee Sweeps Chicago State 7-0 at Adams Tennis Complex

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee delivered a dominant performance Monday afternoon, sweeping Chicago State 7-0 at the Adams Tennis Complex.
The Blue Raiders set the tone early in doubles, securing the opening point with decisive wins on the top two courts. The duo of Eric Crivei and Jonasz Dziopak rolled to a 6-0 victory on court one, while Birtan Duran and Antoine Mayoral matched the result with a 6-0 win on court two to give Middle Tennessee a 1-0 lead heading into singles play.
The Cougars didn't have anyone playing at six, so MTSU got another point. MTSU led 2-0.
In singles play, freshman Houston Jacques was the first to finish, cruising to a 6-1, 6-0 victory on court five. Freshman Rich LaLance followed with a 6-1, 6-1 win on court four to extend the Blue Raider lead 4-0.
Duran added another point on court one with a 6-1, 6-3 decision, while freshman Santiago Lora secured a straight-set win on court three, 6-3, 6-3. Mayoral battled through a three-set match on court two, rebounding after dropping the second set to close out a 6-1, 3-6, 1-0 (10-4) victory in the match's tiebreak.
