Blue Raiders Split Senior Day Doubleheader to Close Regular Season

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee closed out the regular season with a split doubleheader, falling to Memphis 4-3 before bouncing back with a win over Bellarmine 7-0 on Senior Day at the Outdoor Tennis Complex.
Memphis got the doubles point on courts one and three. Ondrej Horak and Antoine Mayoral defeated Sam Reeve and Lasse Rensing 7-5, but that wasn't enough.
In singles, Eric Crivei beat Marcos Castro Fabra 6-1, 6-0 on court five, which tied the match 1-1. Memphis took the lead when Freddy Murray lost to Marko Milosavljevic 6-1, 6-0. The Blue Raiders tied it 2-2. Horak defeated Moritz Kudernatsch after being shut out 0-6 in the first set, then bounced back 6-3, 6-0. On court four, junior Birtan Duran fell to Leandro Zgraggen 6-4, 7-6 (11-9). The Tigers went up 3-2 before, on court three, senior Jonasz Dziopak came back to beat Obrad Markovski 6-4, 0-6, 7-6. The match was tied 3-3 before the final point fell on court two when Karim Al-Amin fell to Maxime Dubouch 6-7 (7-1), 7-6 (7-4), 3-6. Memphis won 4-3.
In the next match against Bellarmine, MTSU swept 7-0. The Blue Raiders got the doubles point on courts one and two. Mayoral and Horak defeated Colby Berson and Matthew Nice 6-2. Dziopak and Crivei beat Parkins and Wood 6-2.
In singles, Crivei finished first again, beating Alex English 6-0, 6-1. Murray got it done on court six, beating Colby Berson 6-0, 6-2. On court one, Al-Amin defeated Nice 6-3, 6-3. Mayoral defeated Zak Vince 6-3, 6-2. Duran battled on court two, winning 7-5, 6-3 against Eli Wood. Dziopak clinched the match on court three, 6-4, 6-3.
