Blue Raiders land 11 Athlon Sports Preseason All-Conference USA Honors

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee placed 11 student-athletes on the 2026 Athlon Sports Preseason All-Conference USA Team, highlighted by first-team punter Ashton Logan.
Logan earned first-team specialist honors after establishing himself as one of the league's top punters in 2025. He is joined by wide receiver Cam'ron Lacy, outside linebacker Reggie Johnson and placekicker Dominic Bourgeois, who all received second-team recognition.
Offensive lineman Otto Janse Van Rensburg and linebacker Korey Smith were selected to the third team, while quarterback Roman Gagliano, running back DJ Taylor, defensive lineman Zeion Simpson-Smith, linebacker Ashton Taylor and cornerback Dyson McCutcheon rounded out Middle Tennessee's selections with fourth-team honors.
The Blue Raiders open fall camp with their first official practice on Aug. 5 in preparation for the 2026 season opener against Murray State on Sept. 5. Fans wishing to purchase season tickets can click HERE.
